Meet Savannah Travis (she/her)

I’m so glad you’re here!

I am a queer and chronically ill therapist dedicated to supporting teens and adults in reconnecting with their authentic selves. With a background in dance and previous career as a massage therapist, I am especially curious about how stress and trauma affect the body and nervous system.

I take a systemic approach to therapy, meaning I consider how people’s lives are shaped by family systems, community, and cultural narratives. I affirm and welcome clients with diverse neurotypes, ethnicities, and relationship structures. Additionally,I fully believe that therapy is political; my work in informed by anti-racist, anti-genocide, and human-rights-centered beliefs.

Therapeutic Style

I believe individual healing is a vital step toward collective liberation, and I aim to build a trusting, safe therapeutic relationship through which change can occur. My style is warm, compassionate, gently challenging, and trauma-informed, ensuring that clients feel seen, heard, and supported. While working from a body-based lens, I draw from numerous modalities and work collaboratively with clients to identify and achieve goals.

Special Interest

I have a special interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) since I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease in 2018. Though I am not a doctor and cannot offer medical advice, the IBD community is near and dear to me and I love supporting folks dealing with this complex disease. I am also expanding my studies to the field of psychogastroenterology, which explores how gut health impacts mental health.

Outside the Office

I’m a daughter, sister, partner, friend, and cat mom. I enjoy long walks, camping, dancing, traveling, checking out plant-based restaurants, and spending quality time with loved ones. Above all, I am a lifelong learner with a passion to help others thrive!
